Dear Colleagues, Postgraduate and PhD Candidates, Members and Friends of ECPD,

We have the pleasure to inform you that the Council of the European Center for Peace and Development UN University for Peace chaired by H.E. Mr. Federico Mayor, President of the Council (long-standing Director General of UNESCO) at its 70th session held on 27 October 2017 in Belgrade, adopted the ECPD Strategic

Development Program for the period 2017-2022. At the same time, Academician Prof. Dr. Negoslav P. Ostojić, was re-elected to the position of ECPD Executive Director with a mandate of 6 years; Ms. Ouided Bouchamaoui (the 2015 Nobel Peace Prize Laureate) was elected Vice President of the ECPD Council;

H.E. Mr. Anwarul K. Chowdhury (former UN Under-Secretary-General) was co- opted as a member of the ECPD Council; Prof. Dr. Tauno Kekäle (Rector of VAMK University in Finland) was appointed as Rector of the ECPD International Postgraduate and Doctoral Studies and Academician Prof. Dr. Vlado Kambovski was appointed as the President of the ECPD Council for the Southern Balkans.
